We wanted to tell a very human story. So, while Hilary's Eat Well is a food manufacturer, we kept the camera 100% focused on their people. While there is nothing really sexy about this approach, it is just so compelling to get real, honest, vulnerable people to tell us their stories.
And they had some amazing stories.
I watched the first initial draft alone, and I literally cried. John captured so much emotion, and really made our story come alive. Then I watched it the second time with my coworker, Hilary, and we both cried! We were in awe of how beautiful it was.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure exactly what story I wanted to capture when we first started. I knew we wanted to share a little about our company, and about how we treat our employees, but I didn’t have an exact storyline in my head.
I could not believe how perfect the end result was. John took our conversations and created a film that was way more powerful than I thought it would be. He captured a side of our company that I knew was there, but could not put into words myself.
So pleased that you had captured our essence.
John has a way of conducting interviews that puts everyone at ease. He has the ability to see things in people, places, and events that other people overlook. He’s a compelling storyteller, and a joy to work with.
